![]() Overall just very disappointing that the hotel did not keep safety in mind for all of its guests and did not care that our entire trip was ruined due to their poor pool conditions. She also was unable ti swim for the remainder of our trip (therefore ruining our entire vacation) and the hotel was unwilling to compensate us for any of the stay. We were informed that she was the 4th person that day to cut her foot in the same area of the pool yet the pool remained opened!!!! This was a HUGE safety hazard to other patrons. The lifeguards and hotel staff handled the situation very poorly. We had a significant incident in the pool area - a 3 year old child with our group sliced her foot on an unknown object in the pool and had to go the the Emergency Room for treatment. Rooms have remained the same - subpar but acceptable - but cleanliness of the room was very poor this time. This will likely be the last time we visit. This was our fourth time visiting Great Wolf in Sandusky with our three kids & it seems the hotel/service continually goes downhill. Of course, the kids wanted the $80 package each so that was costly but does keep the kids busy and happy. I would recommend a stay especially since we booked under a discount. There are plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from that are much cheaper. We had to wait 20 minutes and the food was not very good. I also would not recommend the breakfast. My daughter got to see Santa during our stay and that was really magical! He was the “real” Santa and took his time with each child. I would recommend asking for the top floor for your stay. We were on the 4th floor so we slept very well. We walked the stairs when we could to avoid the crowds. The two they have are very slow and VERY busy. $15 per towel if not scanned in with your wristband? It’s a pain to scan for towels and then have to go back to return them afterwards. We frequent waterpark hotels and I’ve never seen anything like it. But, I find the towel policy really strange. A $48.04 charge appeared on my card and I called the lodge and they refunded my money which was a relief. Overall, we had a wonderful time! However, I was charged for 3 towels even though I returned them.
